Price does not make a App High end or Pro.
C4D is more High End then LW but LW is more Pro then C4D cause it's been
incorporated in to the pipe line and Pro's don't just change App's over
night.
zBrush Micro Displacement did rock the Pro world.
So that makes zBrush a Pro App cause of it's High End Bumps.
zBrush is a low cost App

C4D Studio is High End and working it's way in tto the Pro field.
Basic C4D is a low cost App.

Even V-Ray has 2 version with deferent prices
Caligari has Elite jewelSpace for $5000 that's more then Max,C4D,LW's

most companies have High and Low cost stuff.

TS never will get out of your price range.
maybe some of the plugs might but there probably make a lite version of
the plugs also.

TS6.6 SP2,LW7.5c,Basic C4D 9 + BP2.
zBrush 2,Poser 5...+ Anything else I can afford.

All things our possible,
Not all thing our probable.

Subject: Re: [TSML] TS7 pricing

I think that I may have been the first to bring up this
prospect, which was just a speculation on my part.  I
was basing it on the idea that a lot of new features
*may* increase the pice *slightly* but that Caligari
may want to raise the price more if they think that
they may have a "high end" very competitive product
on the market now.  The reason being, so that tS would
no longer be called a "mid-range" product by the industry
if it actually WAS no longer priced "mid-range".  Again,
only speculation on my part; I certainly hope I am wrong!
:-)

Oh yeah,... MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! <:-)
