TS7 pricing

I hope they can keep the legacy user "current" with reasonably priced
upgrades while providing Madison Ave and Hollywood types enough higher-end
features as their budgets will allow.

Some of us have actually paid enough already in TS upgrades to have afforded
one of the four-figure priced apps.  It would be great if they will keep
cutting us slack with the incremental charges without losing us off the
bottom end of their customer base.  Some "hobbyists" are actually production
professionals in other fields that can use 3d as an aspect of their job
while not producing the art for revenue, per se.  If the cost got too high,
this option would just be cancelled.

Subject: [TSML] TS7 pricing

Hi everyone,

I noticed someone say something about TS7 being on a
different pricing range than the previous versions.
Personally, I agree that this is sad, as my primary
work has nothing to do with 3d graphics (I'm more of a
hobbyist) and a big investment on a 3d application is
something that I am unwilling to do if I can't get a
profit out of it (I don't currently use TS for profit,
either).

However, I think the folks at Caligari will not let
us down.  I've known them for their incredible
seasonal rebates, which allow you to buy TS for much
less than the regular price.  I bought TS4 for $99,
and was able to upgrade to 6.6 in less than a year
(and I don't I can afford any 3d app over $300).  Just
thought I'd share my opinion.

By the way, merry Christmas to everyone on the TSML!

Sincerely,
Omar
