Back And I go along with you Gerry.
I love the tS interface which I grew up in 3D with and if I think back to tS 4.3 (which is when I joined the tS and 3D community) the advances have been excellent.
Due to various circumstances I have not been able to do much 3D in the last two years and six months nut I have had a look at other packages out of curiosity (avid tS fan) and to use "normal" menus throws me big time.
Apart from all of that for me the next paragraph says it all ...............
The bottom line for me has been the customer service which in this day is something a lot of companies could (and should) aspire to.

I agree Neil.
Also, let's put everything into perspective. I've been a user since TS/SE (TS 1 for Windows). My financial situation over the years caused me to skip TS 3, and I juts upgraded to TS6.6 about 2 weeks ago. The one thing thta comes to mind when looking at TS over the years is that it has remained pretty solid in it's pricepoint, while it has definetly grown.
The $595 you would have spent in 2000 or 2001 for TS, will today buy you the product & several of the paks which in my opinion extend the product WAAAAYYY beyond it's "midrange" competitors. So while it is maybe "expensive" for a hobbyist, (which I am), it brings so much to the table that it's worth it hands down.
By the way, TS has far surpassed my talent level with TS2., yet I appreciate this community, Caligari and trueSpace itself enough that I always have the desire to upgrade when new versions come out.
Just my $.02
