Don't have XSI.
LW,C4D forms if you ask lame questions like how do you make a cube and
they no you did not read the Manuel then you defiantly will get RTFM
!!!.

if ya having trouble with rigs or something or having a odd render
problem people will help.
if ya need to show a .jpg or clip so they can see what you our asken
about.
need to post the .jpg on your own site and it shows at newtek,CGTalk
forms.
newtek forms don't let ya ramble about other app's they froze my post
about silo.

most people our kool a few our a pain.

Deferent App's our better at certain things.
I checked out XSI
I just don't like the user interface and never got a strait answer about
a forest.
I Do like there Subdivision Tri's.and how they copy a single meshes for
a army.

Subject: Re: [TSML] TS7 Renderers

Apart from the price, can anyone speak to the ability of these
programs/companies/user communities when dealing with newbies?  Are they
patient and tolerant of simple newbie questions or do they just respond
with "This is a professional forum.  RTFM!!!".

There is an educational discount on XSI Advanced of $295 (that is not
the discount, but the final price) and as my wife is a teacher, I think
we could qualify.  But as cheap as this, I am not willing to jump for
the simple reason that I really think you would lose something that is
unique to tS which goes beyond the program itself...the support of the
same people year after year (whether they work for Caligari or not).

It would be like leaving the town you grew up in and moving to the big
city.

Thanks,
Dave Angelini
