Yeah, not too soon, at least.  I know Roman will want to slowly tease and
tantalize us more and more until we will just HAVE to get tS7! ;-)

Which begs the other question I had, but forgot in all of my mouth-watering
excitement; HOW MUCH?

I think that there were two reasons why plug-in developers were not making
that much money from tS.  One was that not as many people were using tS as
those using the higher end apps and of course, those who were using tS were
primarily using it because it didn't cost as much as the higher end apps.
Therefore, one could surmise that *most* tS users didn't have the money to
pay for high quality plug-ins either.

Now comes the dilemma.  I'm sure that Roman/Caligari Corp. want to nudge
into the higher end bracket and so will have to start charging more for their
product.  If more "professionals" start using tS then they will be the ones to
shell out the coin to entice the 3rd party developers.  However, the majority
of tS users are still, shall we say, a bit "finacially strapped"?  If tS7,
especially the upgrade, is not priced too high then I will have more money to
put into higher end plug-ins,... well, at least ONE plug-in anyway. ;-)  I
think I can vouch for many other tS users too.  I guess you could say that the
more robust and versatile tS becomes, the more it will attract the eye of the
professionals who already have the bucks.  The lower the price that can be
maintained, the more it will still be in the reach of the "would be
professionals"
or those on the edge, mostly freelancers, whose main tool is often tS.  There's
a very delicate balance here and I think that tS7 may be the pivot point.
