I think your models look very realistic as clay....but could be more convincing if the surroundings/background/floor did not also look like clay; need the contrast in textural look to make it more realistic (if that is your goal) to the viewer. I've seen lots of real cars in clay...usually not gray but more brownish-orange unless "painted" for "body in white" look. Regardless, maybe a wood textured floor or painted concrete or???
Maybe search via Google for some sample images to get ideas for floors and backgrounds. Often bodies were made longitudinally in half with a mirror to complete the effect of a whole vehicle. Also helps (like for architecture too) to have a model person to show scale/height.
