Hmmm, didn't know about the BBC Library option.  That's a good tip.
Thanks.  Now, I wonder if they will have some sound effects from the
Dr. Who series. ;)

Nick, there is also a cool sound effect CD called "2,00 Sound
Effectrs" by Snap! (Topics Entertainment)  I think I picked this one
up for about $4.00 at either Best Buy or a computer show, but there
are inexpensive CDs out there with decent sound effects that you can
use for your projects.

Here is a link with more info re: this product:

Catalog:

Where to Buy It:

Also, I have uploaded a bookmark file with some links that I have
frequented for both sound effects and music.

music_sounds.html>

One thing to note is that many, if not all, of the U.S. Armed Forces
have some condition of using their music for free, for educational or
non-profit uses.  I have used their music (U.S. Air Force,
specifically) for certain projects and they were very willing about
granting me permission.  There is a lot of music talent there that
people are unaware of.  You can find the Air Force music link on my list.

Also the "Music Maker" series by Magix can be pretty good as far as
generating music (that is, if you have the processing power).  The key
is to find an earlier version so you don't have to spend more than
$10.00 for it.  Here is the link for more information about this
product.  You can purchase it at Best Buy or if you are in the states,
at Market Pro Computer Shows (the cheapest).

Well, hope this helps a little.

Cheers.
