***Network Rendering Troubles***

***Network Rendering Troubles***

Decent wireless cards are about 60-90 bucks, there's no annual fee. My
own experience with wireless technology is that i'd rather use cat5
cable. It's stable enough to use wireless inside 30 ft or so but I had a
wireless network in my last house and it worked sometimes and didn't
work other times and all for no apparent reason. I spent way too much
time troubleshooting it and now I have a hard wired house with cable in
every room. No more troubleshooting. :)
If you have wireless phones in the house they interfere and if your
neighbor has wireless it can interfere and on and on.

That does bring to mind an interesting topic.  Does anyone use a laptop
with wireless capability and Carrara.  How is the transmission?  Do you
buy those cards and where?  I think someone told me the wireless
internet cards were $300 per year.  Tina

this message is for the group at large attn: Harvey & Steve this is a
follow up from last night chat.

I'm trying to set up a wireless home network with a Wireless router so I
can do network rendering in C4P.

I talked with a Support Rep. from my ISP Sprint and he explained to me
that if I wanted an Static IP Address it would cost extra $10.00 per
month. That is out of my price range.

Therefore I'm wondering is there anyway I still use Network-rendering
with a dynamic IP Address?

Thanks,
