cross/double posted since it applies to Hex but thread started in Carrara...

New Hex tut videos by steph3d on Eovia.com are very nice.
A helpful tip to anyone who creates tuts for Hex...use the Hex display
(flying palette; see prefs;misc) that shows "last command executed" (last
tool used).
(Eovia seemed to include in every tut Eovia made.)

Since typically there is no audio it's sometimes hard to follow or see which
tool is selected. Steph3d did try to show tool selection in video.

With "last tool" displayed, using playback slow or frame-by-frame, one can
visually see a Hex display of what tool was selected for the latest action.

TIP: I leave "last command executed" flying palette display "on" all the
time in lower left bottom of my screen...especially useful if you want an
"undo" and not sure what will be "un-done".
