Back Thanks Bob, Ringo... I'll give that a try. I know that Carrara basically combines other app's Colour and Diffuse channels into the Colour channel; just wondering if there might be a similar trick here.

My previous answer should have read:
As I'm sure you know, there are a number of things available in C4D's materials set that don't really have an equivalent in Carrara. The closest you can come in Carrara to C4D's Luminance channel is the Glow channel, which will accept maps.
