Hi All,

FYI: MS posted free Expression 3 for Mac downloads for over a year
after they bought Creature House.

Now they have posted a free Beta of their Expression follow-on code
named Acrylic. The beta Acrylic runs only on Windows (as did the
Hexagon and many other graphic betas). They claim Acrylic is for
Win-XP SP 2; however, many are reporting it running on
earlier versions of Windows.  The MS development team is interested
in issues from Acrylic running on Win-XP SP 2 only.

I found that the Acrylic beta runs fine on my 667 MHz G4 PowerBook
and my 2 GB DP G5 PowerMac with Win-XP SP 2 on VirtualPC-7 (See http://lPC-7.ora-code.com).
The Acrylic development team is interested in my issues.

By the way Acrylic appears to be an enhansed vector graphic program
based on Expression PLUS it has a well endowed pixel drawing and
editing capabilities.

Those of you with Virtual PC on a Mac might want to try it out.

If you do try it out and have any issues you want to report their
Beta Coordinator is Annie Ford a-annief@(protected)

Cheers,

John
