C4 doesn't export animation via VRML either. The only animation export format seems to be VET.

If it is the same as Poser 4 pro pack, the animation is exported as a sequence of separate files, one for each frame in the animation. I don't know how these can be used, frankly.

Cult 3D seems to be the basis for the new Right Hemisphere U3D animation authoring program, Deep Creator. Suggests a close relationship between U3D and VRML, though I don't know for sure. U3D animation scripts perhaps can be hacked from other types of scripting.

Web 3D was in the doldrums for so long, it is good to have some active competition again. I have long maintained that the successful companies will have the best business models, not necessarily the best technology. If technology alone were the determinant, VET would have won the race 3 years ago.
