Turk,
For the single step, draw your outline, then create a rectangle level on
top of it. Select each of the edges of the bottom level and move them to
the appropriate place to bump them out, next select the level itself and
change it's height. You now have a step.
For the half wall, I just created a panoramic window in my wall and
changed it's attributes so that it wall high on the wall and tall enough
to make the wall a half wall.
