NewGirl wips 2004-11-18 - By Andrew Paules
Back I think you should work on focusing the lighting a bit and trying to draw the viewer's eye where you want it. In the first image the door at the end of the hall is definately where the focus of the image is, while the girl fades away because she's more dimly lit. In your second image, there's not so much of a contrast, but the girl still gets lost in the overall tone of the image.
I'd suggest creating a fairly subtle even light for the room, and then making an array of spotlights that focus light on the girl - not too heavy handed, but enough to draw the focus of the image to her, if that's what you're going for.
