Back Deferent Apps work deferent alot of foreign meshes will not SubDivide in TS if you import with .obj you will get a mesh error. probably depends on what app it was made in and what format was used to transfer the app. if I make a mesh in LW,C4D there our certain things I know I need to do before I export to TS. if you get a bad mesh. you can Boolean a TS cube to a mesh, might help. check and see that dots our not stacked over top of each other. alot of apps have meshes in side of meshes and you can cross lines.TS does not do this. and if you try to import .obj format a stacked, crossed mesh it will be to corrupted to sub dived in TS. if you try to model, map on a corrupted mesh it just don't work very well. Hi Tom,
Just tried your suggestion on my objects made from imported shapes and seems to work. Painting the top face Faceted restored the proper reflections. Now why should this be an issue with beveling an object made from an extruded imported curve but not a TS made curve?
Regards Stuart
