Back Well I am sitting here fooling around while my mechanic is working on my car. I had to reinstall my Carrara because some extension was missing. My softimage screwed my programs up and I had to remove it. That's another story. So I went in after reading this email and was fooling around with the VM modeling a giraffe. Yes, a giraffe! So I was just wondering how to smooth the extrusion out from my giraffe. Any ideas? Thanks. Tina
-- ---- ------ Original message -- ---- ------ Okay, so I was tinkering in the CS' Vertex Modeler, and a light bulb went on! Literally! I started modeling in the VM like I would normally model in Hexagon and I was able to actually model something and get basically the same results I have been getting in Hexagon! I am actually undertanding the VM now *because* of Hexagon. For those who have been modeling with the VM all this time without any problem, no sweat. But I have struggled many times and have given up even using the VM because I felt it was too cumbersome at times. Now with having a few weeks of Hexagon under my belt, I am able to tackle the VM with more ease that I never experienced before! :) So Hexagon has now become more valuable to me than I had originally anticipated.
Well, I am going to keep plugging away at Hexagon (I still have lots more to learn), but I am really happy about this side benefit that it has offered me. :)
Cheers.
