None.

Don't compress.

Let your video program do the compression depending on the output
media, but do not compress the carrara output.

The reason is that 1) it takes longer to read and write the files, and
2) some compressions are lossy, so each time you fiddle with the file,
you lose quality.

The tradeoff is that your source file sizes will be quite large.
