Back Hiya Thomas,
That's correct - Hexagon is a modeller. There are different lighting presets available to see you model under different conditions.
You can set up shading domains in Hexagon that will be available when you export to Carrara. There is also basic UV modification that can be done.
There are a lot of modelling features in Hexagon that Carrara doesn't really handle. Bevelling would be a big one right off the top of my head. (I've been using Amapi for modelling for quite a while now, so I don't remember what's available in Carrara).
Try the demo of Hexagon and see for yourself. It's worth it.
Cheers,
Glen

Stupid question: Is Hexagon souly for modeling? Must one import into Carrara for lighting and textures?
Does Hexagon do some functions that Carrara is incapable of?
