Some of my older C3 files do not open in C4 and some do and as things
(the code and the features) change like caustics or what have you from
version to version it's natural to assume they will not open with all of
those applied settings. To me it is not an issue really as I am done
with C3 files and have moved on to newer and hopefully better stuff but
it could be interesting to open the file in C3 and remove the caustics
and any other modifiers and then save it and then open it in C4 and
reapply your settings there. That might do it.

*C*) files not .RAR (with an *R*) files. I know what .rar files
