I used to hack all my graphics card so that i could use professional
drivers downloaded from various locations...

here's some info on that
For radeon to fireGL tests

If you have softimage, i think you might really benefit from this. A
bit risky... I even managed to do it on laptop, which was a
nightmare. Don't ever do that!
