Bonjour rmc,
Such a standard does exist : x3D.
x3D is an XMLization of the old VRML.
The new U3D (Acrobat 7) is also XML-based, as far as I understand.
Actually, the Viewpoint syntax has been XML since its beginning in 1999, while
the XML spec as just fresh out from the egg.
There is no doubt possible that Carrara should use an xml ysntax
natively. The pros and cons balance is certainly higly positive.
