Importing LWO - problems. 2005-05-16 - By ramble1035

I have C4.1 Pro, and tried importing a Lightwave (Version 7, I think) file, with
interesting results.
Mac (my primary platform): it gets to 87.7% on the "Importing" bar and hangs.
The CPU isn't pegged, so it's just sitting there...
I thought I'd give it a try on a PC, so went to an XP/Home system and tried it
there. It's worse. It never even gets to the "Importing" bar. I click OK on
the
import options and it never does anything.
So: has anybody run into problems imorting? Are there any restrictions on
versions
of Lightwave? Should this go right to Eovia? :)
Thanks for any help/suggestions...
(The file in question is an early version of Dystopia, which I got a long time
ago in
LWO format. Then I had to get a coverter... :)
