Re: New forum for Hexagon. 2005-05-11 - By Andrew
Back This happened to me once, last night after downloading it. Not sure how to reproduce the results through. I also had an issue with a simple extruding a circle along a path, whereas a I an error message. Same error message also appeared in numerous multiple step processes. The last error was overcome by collapsing the full geometry before doing it.
Since I was only playing with it, I didn't document the casue-effects of the program. I will start doing so later today if any start appearing and I'll send it to Eovia for them to figure out.
Overall, it looks like a more user friendly version of Amapi and has a somewhat similar feel to that environment. I like the color scheme, with the dark greys and lighter grey buttons...looks a bit gothic. :-)
There was one tool that I was hoping it'll have but didn't. "Select Similar" as in Wings3d, which selects all occurance of similar faces (with the number of sides and the angles that adjoins them being the same), similar edges (same length and same angle that adjoining edges have), and similar vertexes (same number of eges that come out of it and of those edges being of similar qualities). I hope that the SDK is released for Hexagon and something like this can be coded for it.
