Hexagon, C4D, and Poser

Hexagon, C4D, and Poser

First let me say that Hexagon looks great.  But before I take the
plunge and have a bananna and water for lunch for the next 3 months,
I
have a few questions I would like to run by the group.

1)I was wondering if anyone with experience using C4D has tried
Hexagon. If so, did you find hexagon easy to use?  For modeling, how
does it compare to C4D.  I'm interested in Hexagon because I would
like
to upgrade my C4D to get some of the new modeling features (I'm still
at V6), but the upgrade is pretty steep (OK, just too darn
expensive).
If Hexagon is as easy to learn/use as C4D, and has similar modeling
capabilities (like being able to control the intensity individual
edge
smoothing), I'd prefer to go with Hexagon.  Not only because of the
price, but it looks very versatile, fast, and I would like to stay
with
Eovia simply because I plan on continuing to use Carrara (I prefer
many
things in CS over C4D) . I've tried Amapi a few times, and it does
seem
very powerful, but it's much different than C4D, and I seem to fight
with it too much.

2) Has anyone tried creating Poser content/morph targets with
Hexagon?
What problems, if any, did you run into?  Does Hexagon have the
ability
to "freeze" (make unselectable) portions of objects, or entire
objects?

3) Two of the big problems for me in CS are the inability to have a
reference model loaded to build around, and the inability to just
select the visible points/lines/polygons.  In the demos, it looks
like
you can select only visible elements in Hexagon.  Is my impression
correct?  Can you load reference models to build around?

Thanks in advance for you input!
