C'mon this is utter BS

www.oanda.com has online and realtime currency exchange rates.

EUR are currently worth 28% more than $ and the EUR has been much
more worth than $ for a considerable time (2004 18%, 2003 14% -
historic exchange rates also available...).

The fact of the matter is as you point out that the price of
software can be defined as the length of a rubber-band.

Therefore it would be quite easy for Eovia to have one product for
one global price.  A number of other companies manages that without
any problems.

Don't worry we Europeans still get the pleasure of paying 17-25%
sales tax on top of that, so US customers will still have an
advantage.

The annoying bit is that when Eovia sets the price XYZ USD = XYZ EUR
they are sort of insulting our intelligence by believing we will not
notice the actual 28% price difference.

That is not a good way to treat customers - to put it very simple.

Also London is not EU.  Wages and prices particularly in eastern
parts of EU are considerably lower.

Cheers,
Rune
