Hi Holly.

Say your object is a plane that you've applied a water texture to, and you  
want it to have that?  Select that plane and then pull out the right hand  
Properties box.  Click on the Effects tab, where you'll see a number of
choices
and among them you'll see Blurry Reflections.  Note when you enable  it the
default setting is for 100% blur and that may not be the best  choice.  You
should play with it a bit until you get the setting you  like.

Note of warning.  This option can up your render times  significantly.
