Hello All,

I am a brand new newbie to Carrara Standard 4 (with update installed) and
Transposer 2. I am delighted I found this forum because I am going need all the
help I can get. I installed mine about a week ago and pointed it to Poser 5 and
after the initial dialogue box, I haven't had any problems importing. The only
thing is that it takes a very long time to import. I did select the imported
object and exported it to a Carrara folder as a .car file. When I imported the
.car file, it popped right in immediately.

I think I remember from the reading about Carrara using Shader nodes, therefore
, I am assuming it requires Poser 5 or Poser 6. I am not using Poser 6 at the
moment, but I hope the kinks get worked out with Transposer before I get to
that point.

BTW, does anyone know where there are some good beginner type tutorials for
Carrara?

Transporter will NOT work well with Poser 6.  CL has not released the
SDK (software developer's kit) for Poser 6, so nobody can write
programming that takes advantage of poser 6's features.

Carrara 4 Pro will link to Poser 5, that's what CL has released the
information for, and that's what Eovia was able to develop software
for.

Anything you do with 6 is iffy, from what I've heard.  It may work and
it may not work.

There's nothing that Eovia can do about 6 until CL releases the
software, since Poser is very much involved in the transposer
plugin...

If you have this problem with P5 and C4, then I'd suggest contacting
tech support at Eovia.

Harvey
