You can repeatly create a forest with the replica plugin.  Here is a
link on the creator's website that details how he did it:

One thing to keep in mind is that you'll need a GOOD 3D video card and
processor to keep up with a descent fresh rate for your monitor
because a tree as a lot of polygons to begin with and alot of trees...
well you get the point.
