Re: Tyrannosaur in Hexagon 1 beta 5 2005-05-05 - By Steve
Back From what I've picked up by seeing it, Hex is made for faster, better and easier modeling and simple import to the VM for boning/skinning, UV and all of that good stuff. If that's the case then plug-ins and further tweaking can simply be applied in Carrara as-is I would think. Am I correct? Whatever the case may be, take time, work out the bugs and lets get the party started. My prediction is C4-C5/Hex will be a smash. Steve

Hi, Steve.
An important question for a lot of people, I would think. I wonder whether that would require a plugin of some kind?
Speaking of plugins, I wonder how long it will take before an SDK is released and people start developing plugins (such as Anything Grows, etc.) for Hexagon?
Another question that I have, is how does it handle importing Illustrator files for extrusion, sweeps, etcetera? That's also a really important question for many of us. Hexagon is looking like a valuable production tool to me, so Illustrator import is a primary consideration.
Best,
Bob Dawson
