New Image Tru 'Nembra 's Pipes 2005-05-02 - By Andi Newton
Back Okay, sometimes you should just leave things that you find lying around alone. :-)

As always, I posed the figure in Poser, modelled the object in Amapi, and lighted, textured, and rendered the scene in Carrara. Still getting the hang of 3-point lighting, but I do like it, especially for images like this one that have to be in dark, shadowy areas. :-)
This image was originally done on request by a publisher, but since they're doing the book on a photocopier they can't get it to print correctly. Which is why it's in black and white instead of color. But the publisher said that greyscale images, especially computer generated artwork, don't photocopy well. Can anyone give me any suggestions on optimizing CG artwork for print? It's too late for the three images that I did in this series, but I'd like to know for the future.
Thanks! Andi
