I've had that happen and although I don't know why it happens, here's what  I
do that seems to work.  After importing in a poser model, sometimes not  
everything imports in with it (lack of clothes or hair or whatever).  I  
immediately delete the model (and all the pieces) and start the import  again.
For
some reason, the second try always works!  The interesting  thing, is if you
look
in the properties box on the right, it lists the part  (that didn't import)
as being there.  But it shows the size as 0, 0,  0.

So, try importing it again right away and see if the problem goes  away.
