Think I may have made a mistake purchasing Carrara...(Zbrush user)

Think I may have made a mistake purchasing Carrara...(Zbrush user)

It was very simple when I began: Purchase zbrush and find an affordable
modeling and rigging companion.

Well now that I have Carrara I'm second guessing my purchase :(
I prefer to work with vertices but find it impossible to manipulate fine detail
because:

a) my 450 mhz G4 with 1 gig of mem keeps hanging up on my imported
zbrush models (around 250,00 polys) and:

b) I can not comfortably manipulate points and vertices when they are these
big red glowing bars and dots. On top of this, my model keeps importing in
upside down.....

*sigh*

Just horribly frustrated. I'm looking for a a pro here who uses zbrush and
carrara (I have standard). Could you just give me some stats like:

What's the average size model that you import into Carrara?

How do I make selected vertices not appear as these Thick, Red hard to work
with obstructions?

Point me to a decent tutorial on rigging and posing in carrara (the manual is
absolutely useless in this aspect)

My models often have three sided polys in them, so if you please, also let me
know if it is common for Carrara to choke for this reason.

Thank you very much. I need some encouragement.
