As a tech writer who's just spent five months rewriting two versions of a user guide written by programmers, I can vouch for that. Programmers are great at writing code, and we tech writers need to work closely with them to get the user guides and online help right, but programmers aren't writers. TBH, I spend most of my time taking very in depth, detailed information about how the code works and translating it into what the user sees on the screen and needs to do to get the desired result.
I for one definitely hope Eovia produces a printed manual for Hexagon, and seriously considers doing an updated, printed manual for Amapi.
