Thanks.  I just wanted to get some opinions on the subject, because eventually
I would like to move to someplace like Asheville, NC.  I don't want to live the
rest of my life in NJ and be a slave to the shadow of NYC.  I am hoping to make
some contacts from school then get out of here.  No offense meant towards other
NJ people-I was born here.  It's too expensive in NJ.

I have another question:  When you freelance, how long does it take you to get
paid?  One to Two months?

Not important at all. If you have a phone, fax, email and access to
the internet (Web) you could live on the moon and do just fine. By the
way I have been a freelance illustrator for almost 15 years.
