Do you have an uncompressed version? How about getting your hands on an Xvid, not divx, divx is lousy like mpeg4, or one of the VP encoders? VP3 is free for uncommercial work, and can compress to either QT or AVI, even if I'm on windows I usually use VP3 on QT, and it works wonderfully, even with very high quality I can usually compress the files to extreme lengths compared to other compressions.

If you have an uncompressed version in AVI it won't be affected much by the change to VP3 as QT mov, but AVI's can often be a problem on Macs, especially if people don't have access to admin accounts and therefore can't install codecs, but then VP3 will most likely not work either, at least that's the case in my school. VP3 can keep pure white almost perfectly white, the QT Animation codec can keep it even closer to pure white, most others end up showing it as 25% gray or similar.
Anyway, On2 are the best of the best when it comes to current video compression, much better than any Mpeg standard ever created, their latest Vp6 looks pretty amazing, pretty decent streaming too, high quality and such, but no Mac support, which is kind of sad (even if I only use Macs for editing video productions in school, I'm very much for cross-platform) :(
And hey, good luck on the Ph.D. if you choose to go for it, would love to read your thesis if you decide to do so. ;)

So I was going to put it on my website but it hangs near the end of the upload. Now I am trying to send it to Ron and it's hanging again. It's an AVI file. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can load it? Tina
