If this is any consolation Adobe and Macromedia products are probably the most
bootlegged software out there.  I know its a nasty subject, but you can go on
ebay and find a copy just about any day.

Bruce Chizen, head of Adobe, made that statement several years ago. He
has repeated it numerous times since, always saying at the same time
something to the effect of "hey, don't get me wrong here. I love the
Mac, but..."

There has been a well known feud between Apple and Adobe for years. In
point of fact, Chizen does not like the Mac platform and it galls him
no end that Macintosh is the dominant platform for content creation.

What Mr. Chizen would like to see is a world where there is only one
operating system (Microsoft Windows) and one graphics system (his).
Mr. Chizen apparently loves the thought of conformity, because it's
easier to publish software for only one platform, which increases his
bottom line.

Yes, he will stop developing for the Macintosh just as soon as he can.
He's not worried about losing revenue from Mac content creators in the
least. He is perfectly well aware that, once there is no choice in
software, we will have to switch platforms: we need his products.

How many of us could stay in business without Photoshop? Without
Illustrator? Once Adobe stops developing for Macintosh, we will all be
forced to switch to pee cee's if we want to stay in business.

Soon you will have no choice of software or operating system. That's
what Adobe wants, and that's what they'll get.
