I agree 100% with Peter MacDougall.
I am one of those no-so-vocal users. I try to mention it wherever possible,
I really think it is one of the best choices for graphic designers like
myself. I use it a lot, a lot in combination with Photoshop, but also with
Illustrator (through VectorStyle) and I use lots of tricks to get things
fast from it (like Displacement modelling with Anything Grooves and
terrains).
With the abundance of stock photography things sometime start to look too
generic (or clients cannot pay $ 499 and there is nothing on
http://www.istockphoto.com ), Carrara is a very powerful tool to create your
own images. You can make a cube look like a million dollars if you spend
half an hour, in the clients colors. A 3D version of a clients logotype is
made in half an hour too (especially with the new bevels in the spline
modeller people tend to overlook).

I introduced the idea of 'images where you can place the 'camera' everywhere
you wish' to a lot of business contacts. Carrara made my toolbox a lot
bigger, and I believe I can create every image imaginable now. Though some
of them will take more time than others...

I know for sure I will buy Hexagon, I can use an easier modeller. I just can
not find the patience to fight Amapi (what's with that enter key all the
time?!?), I use the spline modeller a lot and learn to love the vertex
modeller more and more. Hexagon looks like an extremely fast modeller, and
speed is what I need...
I just hope there is a nice way of putting UV maps on Hexagon models, create
shading domains and exporting the results to Zbrush (there is an example of
that on the product page, so I guess that will be easy).

A broader choice of easy-to-use tools is a godsend for designers. There are
a lot of them around, I think Eovia should put some marketing efforts in
that direction, I suppose we are a little 'under targeted' by the other 3D
apps.
And there is still the idea of paying users, like, $ 250 (or free updates or
plugins or Hexagon) for images Eovia will use online and offline to sell the
apps. It pays to make Carrara more visible. I was pleased to find out in
3DXtract someone is selling lots of images on istockphoto, made with
Carrara.

I will recommend C4Pro to anyone asking me. I hope the same will be true for
Hexagon.
