Actually, Yes. That also was the first thought that I had. I was
disappointed that these new modeling features were not going to be a
part of Carrara or Amapi, and I would need to purchase yet another
modeler (I own Amapi but the steep learning curve has prevented me
from utilizing it).

As a graphics hobbyist I have limited money and even less time to
invest in a new program. This is why I was attracted to Carrara
(actually Ray Dream at the time).

I'll reserve judgment until more is known about the ease-of-use and cost.

Hopefully there will be an inexpensive upgrade path for current
Amapi/Carrara users.
