Eovia... Why Hexagon??? 2005-04-14 - By Steve

I would think it cost alot less to start with fresh new code and with an entirely new approach built upon the latest technology using what they already know from past development experience and learning as opposed to tearing apart what is already in place and completely revamping it. The original Mustang was a neat car for it's day but there's not much left to be found of it in the 2005 Mustang GT other than the basic semblance of a metal box with windows, 4 wheels, steering wheel and seats etc... For me this new modeler looks very promising because I just don't have time or patience to spend 10 hours to model something that hopefully can be done with alot less difficulty in an hour or so. There's alot of very good modelers on this list and then there's people like me who want a tool to help them become one. "Time is the fire in which we burn".... From a real bad Star Trek movie... :) Steven

Hello Folks,
I think the new Hexagon modeler is looking good.
But, the first thing that came to mind when I read the announcement was:
"Why is Eovia spending money and resources on a new modeler (Hexagon), instead of making the modeler in Carrara better? Why not make Carrara better?"
Did you ask yourself the same question? What do you think?
Cheers, -Bill
