Animation Help-wishlist 2005-04-12 - By Steve

Hi Michael, The ability to copy/paste/export/import boned and skinned models from scene to scene instead of copy/paste scenes to boned and skinned models would be a very nice feature. With the new modeler Hexagon bringing what looks to be a slick charecter development tool to the work kit, what you are saying seems very pertinent. You will still need to convert the procedural models to vertex and then bone, skin, morph etc.. So it doesn't seem like that will bring an immediate solution. Maybe C5 will permit this with some continued VM and general development. I think that charecter animation is fore-front in the development of C5 from what I understand. If this is the case then I will be a very happy puppet myself. :) P.S. I actually use the storyboard for some simple things and kinda like it but I think you're right, until CA is developed some more it's sort of an icon. Hard to say what's around the corner, i've been happy with the changes so far. No doubt about it. Steven

Hi all!
Since upgrading to C4Pro, I've been very happy with it and the new plug-ins I got. But there's still issues with animation that continue to get to me.
The biggest issue is with how vertex objects are skinned. It still seems to me that the skinning thang happens in the Assembly room and can't be transfered to another file
