Carrara comes with a couple of HDRI from Dosch on your content CD (actually, they are also in your Carrara folder under Contents->Scenes->Global Illumination). I would try those as when you are ready to render. In the Assembly Room click SCENE, then load the hdri under the Background tab. Then in the Render Room check the Sky Light option under Global Illumination. (Be sure to turn off Ambient brightness under the SCENE's tab.)
That's the quick solution.
