Re: Poser Import 2005-04-06 - By Andi Newton

TransPoser 2 will import dynamic hair to C4Pro. The image "Coronation" that I did uses dynamic hair, and is rendered in C4Pro. You can change the pose even after opening the Poser file in Carrara. With TP2, there's an update button that you click to update the image to the new pose. With TransPoser 1, though, you have to save and close the Poser file, then close and reopen the Carrara file to update the pose.
Note that you need to have all of your figures, props, etc, in the Poser scene before opening it in Carrara. It will update poses, but apparently won't add new figures. For that, you'd have to import them into the Carrara scene instead of just opening the Poser file.
There are apparently problems with TransPoser (1 or 2) being able to open Poser 6 files. Which is why, in addition to the stability problems that I've heard about, I have Poser 6 but it will sit in the box until both of those issues get fixed. Hopefully that won't be too much longer.
