Question on motion paths for grouped objects

Question on motion paths for grouped objects

Hello,

I'm relatively new to Carrara and have encountered a problem I can't
figure out.  Hoping someone here might know the answer.

I have created motion path (origionally on a camera) that I saved as
a .cbr file.  Camera motion was then converted back to explicit.

I then added two vertex objects and grouped them together (these are
two pieces of a spaceship model).  I now want to attach the saved
motion path to this group so I load the saved motion path file.

Over the animation, both parts of the group progress down the motion
path, but apparently don't inherit any of the rotational keys from
the origional camera moves.  So now I try adding keyframes for the
rotations I want, but again, the group objects don't appear to
retain the keys.  Instead, they lock to the last rotation I set and
maintain that throughout the entire motion path.

For example, at frame 0, ship group is facing along x.  At frame 10,
add a keyframe with ship facing along y and set distance along path
to max.  If I move back to frame 0, the entire ship group is still
facing along y with no rotation over motion path.

I just tried this with an individual vertex object (no group) and
same effect.  I must not be using the motion path settings correctly.

Any ideas whould be greatly appreciated...

Thanks,
Steve
