Any... POSER users? 2005-04-04 - By Glen Allen

No problem...
It's pretty, I'll give you that; thing is that if it doesn't work - why release it? Isn't that the point of software? Eovia's never done that to us (remember, Carrara 1 was a MetaCrap product at the time - at least it worked!)
Glad to hear you didn't suffer throught the P5 release debacle; that release was an embarassment to any software developer that worked on it.
Poser's render engine is painfully slow; I'd put Carrara up against it any day (as soon as Transposer2 is fixed - nudge nudge) ;)
One thing I've been able to do (only once, can't recreate it) was to bring Jessi into CS4Pro using Transposer2! One of the "problems" that breaks Transposer may be the use of External Binary Morph Targets in P6; you can turn this off from the general preferences. There's probably some new text in the P6 files that T2 isn't able to interpret. Hopefully CL will release the SDK soon!
Cheers,
Glen

Yeah, I don't know why I didn't think of looking there.
I just recently got 6, and all I can say is that it's good it's just been released... meaning, they haven't had much time to work out the bugs yet.
I frequently lock up during rendering, can't delete an item, have hair take on the texture map of the background (Aquarium was interesting..) etc.
But it's still a lot better that V2, which is the newest version I had before getting this one.
Plus, the in-poser renders are prettty decent.
