UV mapping

Hi Pierre,

This can be done in several ways - under the color shader, if it is a
texture map, you can adjust the U and V repeats independently, making the
texture repeat more often (or less often, if you chose). If it is a
procedural shader rather than a texture map, there is often a scale
parameter that can be used to once again raise or lower how many times the
pattern repeats. This depends on the procedural shader in question and what
the shader programmer decided to include in there! So it may be different
from shader to shader for procedurals.

You can also adjust the UV mapping directly, by applying a new UV map and
scaling the UV cage when applying, or do this later by using the UV editor.
Note that some procedural shaders do not use UV for their calculations and
that adjusting the UV mapping directly will not change how they are applied.
It is unlikely that you would need to go this far to get the effect you want
though, you should be able to do it using one of the first two options :)

HTH!

Subject: [TSML] UV mapping

Hi all,

I've some problems with uv mapping how can i reduce the sample size of a
material ... i'm not sure of my english here.

In fact I wanna use the brick wall sample but it's very too large I wanna
have the brick smaller.

I'm sorry but I dunno what I must search through the manual I've trying
materials but find anything or I misunderstood

TIA
