VS 2 Boolean

VS 2 Boolean

Hi everyone,

I had some problems rendering complex and especially boolean objects
with vectorstyle 1. When I modeled things with cylindric holes in it
there were too many and sometimes also wrong outlines rendered out
to illustrator / flash.

You can see what I mean at
http://www.eovia.com/products/carrara_addons/vectorstyle.asp - the
picture with the motorcycle. Look closer to the brake discs. With
VS1 you can't go over detail angle 90 - turning off details doesn't
help either. I need less outlines!

I also had objects tweened straight from one point to another and
rendered it with an isometric camera (so this should be easy to
render). But in some frames the object was only rendered half or
looked like damaged.

I am thinking about the upgrade, but I don't need reflections /
multiple shadows, transparency etc. at the moment. What I need is
really clean, adjustable, correct outlines and shapes.

Was it improved with VS2? I can't see anything but line size at the
improvement-list. But maybe it renders more exact now because of the
new render-engine?

Greetings,
Dennis
