RAM and speed

RAM and speed

Same answer for PC or MAC;
if your files and multiuse of programs never uses all your RAM, adding more
will do no good.
But if you track RAM usage and you approach 90% often with your work; best
to be thinking of getting more RAM unless you don't ever increase your RAM
demand.
Better safe than sorry.

Subject: RAM and speed

Hi all-

I'm on a G5 dual 2 gig with 1.5 gigs right now - gonna be adding some
RAM and I'm just wondering what effect it may have on performance... is
it the standard "the more the better" or does the curve flatten out
toward a certain point?

(Carl, this'll mean faster video editing... hee hee)
