Put the color you want in the glow channel of the shader.
Select the object, in the properties tray go to the filters or effects
tab (it's the last one).
Find 3d aura, or maybe it's glow when used on a single object.
If you want all objects with an active glow channel to glow you can
select the scene and go to the filters and turn on 3d aura.
