Particle Illusion and Carrara, a very nice and interesting combination.
Making a tree in the middle of a clearing in a forest, then using 1
rendering with the whole scene and another with only the forest, I have been
able to get very impressive effects: like a flock of faeries flowing and
twiddling in the middle of the air. Very visually impressive. I will try to
get my hands back on the anim, and on the old file, and show here what it
looks like.
By the way, when I did that anim, it was by no way my own idea, I saw it
here on this very list and played to try my hands at reproducing the effect.
In the process, I learned a lot. Like: then, my computer was too slow for
that kind of computer-intensive effects...
