Looking for a texture or a starter texture to work from?
The Carrara content CD that came with Carrara is full of models....but look
there too for textures...i.e. find a model with a texture you like, open the
model, checkout the textures/shaders and save some in your shader browser
for use on other projects. And explore how Eovia created some of them to get
other ideas.
Example: I needed a shader for "steel". I found a nut&bolt model and used
the shader from that for my project. It has a .jpg image of streaks that
were tiled to make a rough surface but if one were to tile in one direction
more than the other it might look like a brushed metal texture.
